2. BONDED BRACKET - attachment bonded directly
    to the tooth.
3. ARCHWIRE - large removable wire that fits around
the arch into the bracket slots.
4. LIGATURE WIRE - tiny wire that ties archwire
into bracket - or - ELASTIC LIGATURE - plastic
module that ties archwire into bracket.
5. HOOKS - used to attach elastics (rubber bands).

Meanwhile, here are some things you can do temporarily until your appointment.

PROBLEM WHAT TO DO
Loose Band or Bracket If band or bracket is still attached to wire, leave in place.
If uncomfortable, place wax on it. If it comes out completely, wrap brace or bracket in tissue.
Loose Wire Try to place wire back in place with tweezers. If this is not possible, clip with fingernail clippers behind last tooth to which it is securely fastened. If any discomfort, place wax on it.
Poking Wire Try to push sticking wire down with a spoon or eraser.
If this doesn't work, place a piece of wax on it.
Lost Tie Wire or
Elastic Tie Soreness
Notify us at you next appointment.
Headgear Does Not Fit Sometimes caused by not wearing as prescribed. If the facebow is bent, call our office at once.

Remember...nothing detrimental will occur to the overall process
if a few days go by before fixing the situation.
