Exotic fruits have many nutrients and antioxidants.  They are starting to hit produce shelves in hopes to become the next produce health hero.  Some examples of “superfruits” are below:

The Gogi berry, the Pitaya, and the Ligonberry

The Schizandra berry and the Pomegranate

Some of these “superfruits” have been featured on The Dr. Oz Show and even Starbucks is finding ways to make “superfruit” juice with these fruits.  Nutrition experts recommend eating “superfruits” as well as ordinary fruits such as apples and bananas too.  Aim to eat 2-4 servings of fruit a day.
